The other day, my people went to the library and checked out a book for me to read! Have any of you heard of Beverly Cleary? She wrote some wonderful books about Ramona Quimby, Henry Huggins and a bunch of their friends!
The book they brought me home to read is called Ribsy! It's about Henry Huggins' dog!!! Right up my alley! So I took the book outside in the warm sun and read a few chapters.Read Full Post »

So apparently something big is happening this week. Something about royalty, fancy hats, carriages and fanfare.
What could it be?
A Royal Wedding?
Yes! That's it!! What fun... and I hear it's at Westminster Abbey. [Hey, is that where the dog show is every year?]
Are you excited??? Daisy a...Read Full Post »

It's that time of year when the humans start to get out the baskets full of chocolate and stuffies and won't let the pups near it! Torture!!
This year, I asked for an Easter Basket of my own -- full of Milk Bones (instead of milk chocolate), balls (instead of Easter eggs) and stuffies (because the world needs to de-stuffed, one bunny / squirrel / bear at a time).

We are so proud of Mr. P lately. We're still taking classes every week, learning more and more about agility. This is something we've never done with any of our dogs before so it's a whole new experience! We are definitely learning that it is like a dance -- so much easier to watch than actually do. It's a movement, a language, that you learn and, with practice, you develop a feel for. It's SO much fun!
With that being said, Parker is absolutely amazing. He is such an awesom...Read Full Post »

Well, we made our Twibite spoof for this Halloween... but what now? We still have a few days before the kids come knocking at our door... and the pumpkins have YET to be carved! Hey! That's a good idea... let's carve pumpkins!
Believe it or not, we've slacked off the past few years and haven't actually carved any of our pumpkins. So Parker was in for a treat.
"Hey, Mom! What are you do...Read Full Post »

About a month ago we went on a walk with Golden Bond Rescue, the golden retriever rescue organization of Portland, OR. It was such a fun day, and you could tell all the dogs enjoyed getting out!
In all, we walked about 7 miles, and felt really great afterwards!
Parker and Daisy met a lot of new friends!

Wow, it's been awhile since we've added anything about agility! Parker is still taking some agility courses and seems to really love it. It's incredible to see how it has boosted his confidence. He still has a lot of confidence to build, but he is doing outstanding, and we are really enjoying watching him as he learns and as that "lightbulb" goes off every week!
Here is one exercise we worked on -- sending your dog to a location.
The goal of this exercise is to do a single l...

A couple of weekends ago, our good friend, Jeff from The Gold Post came to visit the pups! We had a grand time visiting the farmer's market, going to dinner, and most of all driving up and down the Oregon coast!
Parker and Daisy LOVE visitors! And they can always tell when there is a dog-lover in their midst!
The first stop was Astoria ...Read Full Post »

It's always fun to get out to different places around town and let Parker do a little exploring. A couple Saturdays ago, we took him to a little park in Portland called Peninsula Park. This park is typical of a park from the early 1900s.
Parker wanted to dive into the fountain, but unfortunately NO DOGS ALLOWED! So he did just fine...Read Full Post »
