Turmeric is good for dogs for various reasons. It is a natural detox, it contains cancer fighting agents, is anti-inflammatory, helps with allergies, has healthy benefits for the heart, liver, and digestive tract, fights bacteria, and targets inflammation, pain, and skin irritations. The rule of thumb is to give half a teaspoon of golden paste per 10kg of dog per day. If your dog is new to golden paste, start with a small dose and gradually increase. Please Note: Turmeric STAINS. Please use caution when making.
Also CAUTION: this can make your dog's skin smell. Time varies on how long the cat pee smells emanates from the skin. It should be over after a couple of weeks but some people report the 'pong' going on for a month or two. You can add a little cinnamon to the turmeric mix to alleviate the smell coming from the skin. This ingredient is optional (below).
