Homemade Pumpkin Puree

It's an ingredient that is used in so many of our favorite doggy recipes. And all you need is a pumpkin and a little patience!

Homemade Pumpkin Puree


  • 1 or more sugar pumpkins


  1. Scrub pumpkin

  2. Cut off top

  3. Scoop out insides

  4. Cut pumpkin into wedges & place face down (skin up) on parchment paper-lined baking sheet

  5. Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes or until juices run/knife inserts easily

  6. Remove from oven and let cool

  7. Once cool, peel off skin

  8. Cut up into little pieces and put in blender/bullet

  9. Blend until it is the consistency of baby food

  10. Pour into ~1 cup storage containers

  11. Refrigerate or freeze.
